I’ll start with the personal stuff…..
Just in case the domain name gregboser.com didn’t make it clear, this site is my personal blog. That means that the opinions expressed on this blog are mine only and do not necessarily represent the opinions of BlueGlass Interactive, Inc., my BlueGlass partners, BlueGlass clients, or my wife. (Especially not my wife. If I’ve said something that has offended you, there’s a very good chance my wife thinks I’m an ass too).
OK, here’s my spiel to keep the FTC happy….
Paid Advertisements
Like most sites on the Internet, I accept paid advertising on this site. It is safe to assume that I have some type of financial relationship with any companies mentioned in the banner and/or tile ads appearing in the sidebar or header of this site. That relationship could range anywhere from being a member of an affiliate program where I am paid a meager per-sale sum to being a consulting client that pays me a bunch of money. Regardless of what the specifics of the relationships are, the key thing to keep in mind is that they are always products/services that I actually use or companies I have a quality working relationship with. I do not accept random run-of-site advertising for products or services I have never used.
Editorial Content
The majority of editorial content (aka blog posts) on this site do not contain any promotional links in them. However, I reserve the right to link to any product or service I may be discussing in a blog post using an affiliate link if there is one available to me. When I do choose to include an affiliate link in a blog post I will not disclose that fact within the post itself. (That’s what this stupid disclaimer page is for).
Paid Reviews
From time to time, I may write product or service reviews. Unless otherwise stated within the specific post, the costs involved with purchasing the product or service being reviewed were paid for by yours truly. If I receive any compensation (either cash or free products) prior to writing the review, it will be disclosed in the review itself. However, please understand that any fees that may be paid to me for a review have absolutely no bearing on what I write. I will never accept money to write a review if the review being positive is a requirement to get paid.
Paid Links
I do not sell text links. However, if I do review a product or service (regardless of whether or not I was paid to do so) and I think the product or service is awesome, (and there is no affiliate program) the link to the site associated with said product or service will generally be free of the evil nofollow attribute. If I think the product or service sucked then the odds are the link will use that nasty nofollow thing.
Removing or Excluding Posts
Once a review is published and indexed it will only be removed if
A) I’m provided with a court order telling me to do so, or
B) an extremely large bag of cash.
The point being if you pay me to review your product or service and then don’t like what I write, it will be extremely expensive for you to make it go away, so make sure you don’t ask me to review crappy stuff.
